Hi there, I'm Allyson (or Ally)!

I am currently a third-year student studying
Human-Centered Design and Engineering at the University of Washington in my home state.

I have a passion for designing products/technology that is inclusive, visually appealing, as well as user-friendly. The reason behind the importance of inclusive design arose at a young age from me, as both my parents are significantly older so I was always the designated teacher for them when it came to using technology. This experience with my parents made me realize how so many of the things we as humans use everyday were not designed with humans (especially non-tech savvy like my parents) in mind. So, I decided I want to be a part of the solution of closing this gap and creating more inclusive products that are empathetically created.

Other things I love…

If you ever see me alone, you will probably find me listening to music at full-blast with noise cancellation on. Music has always been a big part of my life as I played piano for over 10+ years. I love going into my own world with music. My favorite artists include Lana del Rey, Steve Lacey, Frank Ocean, and the 1975.

One my favorite things in the whole world is my dog named Mochi. She is a COVID puppy and is my best friend. I love going home to hangout with her and give her a bunch of pets.

A favorite activity of mine is spending time exploring the cities of Washington and taking long walks with my friends while doing it. One of my favorite cities that I visited recently is Bainbridge Island with my friends and the beautiful view coming back to Seattle from the ferry (taken from the ferry by me above ^)!
